“I cleared a little over 1 TB of assets I no longer needed from Dropbox. That let me move from a Teams account to a standard account—and saved me a significant amount. So helpful!”

How it works
Less sorting.
More space. Three simple steps.
Turn folders of finished work into space for your next project—with you in control of what stays.
- 01 Find your folders
Find folders worth sweeping.
Sort your Dropbox folders alphabetically, by total size or by the date files were last modified. Bring the biggest folders or oldest work to the top, then choose where to start.
- 02 Choose your keepers
Keep the projects that matter.
Pick the After Effects projects you want to keep. AfterSweep checks their referenced assets to help identify what can go. Keeping a packaged project? Select its ZIP archive as a keeper too.
- 03 Set rules & review
Your cleanup. Your rules.
Keep extra files by type, folder or keyword, then review what’s staying and what’s ready to clear. Confirm the cleanup when you’re happy with your choices.
You make the final call. Nothing is deleted just by connecting or scanning—you confirm the cleanup.

Before you get started
Built for your desktop.
Windows
Beta availableThe current working edition. An internet connection and Dropbox account are required. After Effects must be installed to inspect AE project dependencies.
Currently unsigned. Dropbox setup still requires a developer app. These steps are being refined before public sales.
Mac
Coming soonA full Mac edition is planned. Windows is available to test now.
Mac downloads will be available once the complete workflow has been tested.
Does AfterSweep delete files automatically?
No. Connecting and scanning don’t delete files. You choose your keepers and rules, review the cleanup, and confirm deletion. Direct folder deletion has a separate confirmation and deletes the whole selected folder and its contents.
Can I recover deleted files?
AfterSweep uses Dropbox’s deletion system. Recovery depends on your Dropbox plan and its retention limits. Keep an independent backup of important work; AfterSweep is not a backup service.
Do I need After Effects?
Yes, to inspect dependencies in selected AE projects. Browsing Dropbox folders and selecting ZIP keepers don’t require AE inspection. ZIP contents are not analysed.
Will this download all my assets?
Folder browsing uses Dropbox metadata. For AE inspection, AfterSweep downloads temporary copies of selected project files and attempts to remove them afterwards. Your Dropbox desktop sync settings are separate.
Is the licence tied to my internet connection?
The planned licence is for one person on up to two computers, tied to your account and device activations rather than your IP address. Licensing will be enabled before sales open.
Is AU$24.99 a subscription?
No. The planned price is a one-off purchase for the current major release, including its updates. Future major upgrades may be sold separately. Checkout and final sale terms will be available before purchases open.
